Six Fixed Health Camps in Kandahar City

Location
Afghanistan
Duration
01 September 2023 – 31 December 2025

Project Overview

Six permanently staffed health camps serving 24 densely populated, unplanned neighbourhoods of Kandahar
City, funded by UNICEF.

About this project

Kandahar City has grown rapidly through the arrival of returnees and internally displaced families, many of
whom live in unplanned settlements with no nearby health facility. This project established six fixed health
camps — small, permanently staffed clinics — located so that residents of 24 underserved areas of the city
can reach basic health services on foot.
