A two-year, WFP-funded emergency program treating moderate acute malnutrition among Kuchi children and mothers across 20 districts in 15 provinces — OPHCD’s widest geographic footprint in a single project.
About this project
The Targeted Supplementary Feeding Program (TSFP) treats moderate acute malnutrition (MAM) in children aged 6–59 months and in pregnant and lactating women. Working through health facilities and community outreach, OPHCD teams screen for malnutrition using mid-upper arm circumference (MUAC) and weight for-height, enrol eligible cases, provide specialised nutritious foods (such as ready-to-use supplementary food or fortified blended food), and follow each case until recovery.
