Community-based nutrition follow-up services across 44 districts of Kandahar, Helmand and Uruzgan — the southern counterpart of the Faryab/Jawzjan programme.
About this project
Community-based nutrition programming brings preventive and early-detection nutrition services to the household level. Through trained community health workers, mother-to-mother support groups and family health action groups, the project promotes optimal infant and young child feeding, screens children for malnutrition in their own villages, and links families to the nearest health facility before a child’s condition becomes severe.
